Public Consultation on Minimum Wage for Domestic Workers

The Bangsamoro Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (BTWPB) of the Ministry of Labor and Employment Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (MOLE-BARMM) conducted a Public Consultation on Determining and Fixing the Minimum Wage for Domestic Workers in BARMM on September 06, 2025 at Beachside Inn Hotel and Restaurant. In support of this important initiative, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) was invited to provide updated socio-economic data and other relevant information that will serve as an essential reference in the wage determination process. Representing PSA, Chief Statistical Specialist Masil H. Mohammadsha of PSA Tawi-Tawi attended the consultation as a Resource Person, presenting the latest statistical data and socio-economic indicators in the region. His discussion offered a solid, evidence-based foundation to help ensure that deliberations on the minimum wage are anchored on accurate and reliable information. This collaborative effort highlights the shared commitment of BARMM institutions to safeguard the welfare of domestic workers, uphold social justice, and promote fair and just compensation for their valuable contributions to families and communities. The PSA remains steadfast in supporting evidence-based policymaking toward the continuous progress and development of the Bangsamoro region.
