Personnel of the Ministry of Labor and Employment (MOLE) actively joined the Bangsamoro Government and the Local Government Unit of Cotabato City in celebration of the Shariff Kabunsuan Festival on December 19, 2025. MOLE personnel marched in the commemorative parade from Cotabato State University to Bangsamoro Ports Management Authority, together with representatives from various ministries, offices, and attached agencies of the Bangsamoro Government. The activity was followed by a traditional Guinakit fluvial parade along the Rio Grande de Mindanao, where vibrantly decorated boats sailed as a symbolic reenactment of the arrival of Shariff Mohammad Kabunsuan. Observed annually, the Shariff Kabunsuan Festival honors Shariff Mohammad Kabunsuan, an Arab-Malay missionary who marked the spread of Islam to the region in the 16th century.
