Carrying the reminder that a sound plan is the foundation of effective public service, the Ministry of Labor and Employment (MOLE) of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) held a three-day Strategic Planning Workshop for fiscal year

The Ministry’s officials, bureau directors, division chiefs, provincial heads, designated planning focal persons, employees and staff worked on the enhancement of the Ministry’s work plans and other requirements for the finalization of enforcement efforts for MOLE programs and services across BARMM. The MOLE also prepared its work plans based on a five-year vision reckoning from year 2027, taking into consideration the newly approved Bangsamoro Labor and Employment Code (BLEC) and other aspects affecting the labor sector. Labor Minister Muslimin “Bapa Mus” G. Sema recognized the necessity of solid statistical data and facts about workers in BARMM that needed to be known in order to carry out labor programs, projects, activities and services more effectively. The workshop participants presented and discussed the different strategies, program descriptions and recommendations to ensure that the Ministry’s performance would be consistent with its mandates, targets and vision. Facilitated by the MOLE Research, Planning and Policy Development Services (RPPDS), the workshop helped the ministry gain a more steadfast and more unified direction in serving the Bangsamoro labor force, aligning all efforts with development targets.
